There’s an interesting scenario building in Group E, where pre-tournament favourites Brazil could depart the competition if they lose to Serbia in Moscow on Wednesday. Surely Neymar and co won’t fall at the first hurdle….will they? Let’s find out with our Brazil vs Serbia betting tips.
You sense the Brazilians are just about finding their feet in Russia. Okay, so it took them until injury time to find a winning goal against Costa Rica, but it’s not as if they hadn’t fashioned chances prior to that.
The South Americans hit the woodwork and fired in nine unanswered shots on target….before Philippe Coutinho and Neymar broke the deadlock and Costa Rican hearts.
The PSG man was in tears at the end; relief, probably, and testament to how badly these Brazilians want to do well on the big stage.
Serbia, meanwhile, went down 1-2 to Switzerland in a fesity encounter, and they must assume that they need to beat Brazil to have any hope of reaching the last 16.
So this match is perfectly poised….who will take the spoils? Here’s our Brazil vs Serbia betting tips.

Brazil vs Serbia Betting Tips
You sense the die for this game is already cast. Brazil will enjoy plenty of possession, and they will look to utilise the pace and trickery of Neymar down the left flank, supported by Coutinho and Marcelo. Serbia’s right back, Branislav Ivanovic, is on a yellow card and will be terrified of getting stuck in.
The Serbians are a physical and aggressive outfit, particularly in midfield and the sizeable Aleksandr Mitrovic in attack, and Brazil will need to be up the challenge….and not retailiate to the occasional kick and robust tackle, which Neymar in particular has a tendency to react to.
They are the better footballing outfit here, Brazil, but that doesn’t always get the job done. They will need to front up to the physical challenges placed upon them.
The good news for their supporters is that Serbia are woefully short of pace in their team, and on occasion they have been overrun: Costa Rica created a number of chances against them, while the Swiss fashioned five shots on target and hit the woodwork.

Brazil vs Serbia Betting Tips: Side Markets
These third round group matches often have an air of desperation about them, and when either one of these sides goes a goal down you would expect them to throw the kitchen sink at the other to get back on parity.
That sense will be exacerbated in the second half, as the fear of being knocked out of the competition becomes its reallest and the players start to tire.
So, our second bet is a simple one: we’re backing the second half to have more goals than the first at 10/11 with NetBet.
